La Jara - Prosecco - Organic Vegan - Veneto - Italië

In een gebied dat zich uitstrekt van de heuvels van Conegliano en Valdobbiadene tot aan de rivier de Piave, bewerkt La Jara 50 hectare wijngaarden en bewerkt deze volgens biologische principes. Het landgoed ligt in de directe omgeving van "Grave di Papadopoli", een landmassa die werd gevormd toen de rivier de Piave in 1882 overstroomde.

Hier neemt witte kalksteen - grind afkomstig van de rivier de Piave - overdag warmte op en geeft deze 's nachts langzaam weer af. Deze stenen, in het lokale dialect "Jara" genoemd, gaven het landgoed niet alleen zijn naam, maar gaven La Jara Prosecco ook een frisse rassengeur, mineraliteit en elegantie.

Het landgoed La Jara is eigendom van de familie Marion, die het land in 1891 kocht, slechts een paar jaar na de toevallige overstroming. Sinds 1999 runnen Massimo Marion en zijn broer Paolo de boerderij.

De druiven worden heel licht geperst en wijnen worden geproduceerd volgens de Charmant-methode. Er wordt veel aandacht besteed aan het klein en elegant houden van bubbels.

De wijnmakerij is biologisch gecertificeerd door ICEA (Instituut voor Ethiek en Milieucertificering), en La Jara produceert een verscheidenheid aan mousserende wijnen, met name de wijn die we importeren, met een DOC Prosecco Treviso.

‘La Jara’ = rolstenen, is in het lokale dialect de benaming van de ondergrond voor deze streek.

Degustatie

Lichte strogele kleur. Fijne pareling. Fruitig en fris. Droge prosecco. Florale aroma’s van acacia, meloen en agrumes in de neus. De kwaliteit en de mooie presentatie maken het product klassevol.

100% Glera.

Wijn-gerecht

Is ideaal als aperitief maar past ook bij lichte kip -en visgerechten alsook risotto.
