La Folie des Frères Veilles Vignes ORGANIC - 2020

Folie des Frères is a Côtes du Rhône wine, based on a mono-cépage. Grenache is on the move here on a terroir that is very much subject to the mistral. This mistral wind has the great advantage that the vineyards of Folie des Frères hardly need to be treated. The vines are on average 50 years old and the dead vines have been replaced over the years by the best Grenache clones.

This is no longer a simple drinking wine, but a mature culinary accompaniment. The bouquet of cherries and strawberries, complemented by a spicy garrigue spiciness, makes this wine rich and opulent. Its juicy drinkability also makes it a mischievous seducer, which can safely be served with a little soda. Due to the perfect balance between plumpness, acidity and tannins, this wine will be able to age considerably. This wine symbolizes the summer opulence of the southern Rhône like no other. What's more, here lies the naked simplicity of the beauty of the 100% Grenache pure in the glass.

Clos des Frèr[es] Cuvée G - Red - 2019

The Cuvée G from Clos des Frères and from Domaine les Ondines is a special product, which is only produced in special vintages for the 'grenache'. This wine is the result of a special vinification of exceptional quality Grenache grapes from the dry Vacqueyras plateau 'les garrigues'. The vineyard consists of very old vines of 80 years and more. The yield of this vineyard has been naturally reduced to a maximum of three trusses per vine, which means barely 20hl/ha. Due to the age of the vineyard and the purity of the grapes, it is possible to extract pure finesse from the lushness of the Grenache 100%.

It is recommended to serve this wine with dishes with refined sauces with fish, poultry and delicate roasted meats. Avoid dishes that are too sweet, too oily or too pigmented with this wine. Elegance is the central symbiotic concept for both in the glass and on the plate.
